At TBI we have several committees that you are welcome to become a part of:
Building & Grounds: This group helps recognize areas of our building and grounds that are in need of maintenance or improvement. If members have the skill and desire they tackle these themselves or they may bring the information to the Board to be delegated to a professional. You don’t need to be a professional painter to help add a new coat of paint to our building!
Caring Community: This small, caring group keeps an ear to the ground to keep on top of those in our community in need of some TLC, whether it be a phone call, a card, or commiserating over a nice cup of chicken soup (coffee will work in a pinch!)
Fundraising: Do you have a creative idea for a fundraiser? We are always looking for (low cost) fundraising ideas to help support activities in our community. A great way to make new friends as well! Some of our re-occuring events have been a buyout for a play at the Riverfront Playhouse, Pasta For Shul, and the Israeli Dinner-Dance.
Ritual Affairs: Responsible for organizing various holiday services in conjunction with the Rabbi. The lion’s share of this group’s work revolves around setting the High Holy Days schedule and finding speakers for the various services and YK afternoon symposium.
